Customer Service

To place a custom order email akibadesign@gmail.com. For custom orders, you will be provided with an estimate of the cost upfront. We require a deposit of 50% of the total cost of the piece before we will begin working on it. The balance of the total cost is due upon completion of the piece.

Name Chains

For name chains, please specify whether you are ordering a Greek letter name chain or a Latin letter name chain (English). Greek letter name chains are in all lower case Greek letters. Please write out, in order, the names of the Greek letters (iota, gamma, beta, etc…) since different computer screens represent Greek font differently.
For name chains in Latin letters (English) please specify whether you want the first letter of the name capitalized or if you want all letters written in lower case letters. Please write out the exact spelling of the name.

Cuff Links

For custom cuff links, please specify which side of each coin should be facing outward (to be seen). For example, the right cuff link should have “heads” facing out and the left cuff link should have “tails” facing out. Coins should be in good condition, not faded, scratched or discolored. These imperfections cannot be repaired in the manufacturing process.

It is recommended that you send the coins with insurance and a tracking number. Include the date you have mailed or will mail the coins in your order. You will receive an email confirming receipt of the coins.


Return Policy

Returns and exchanges are available for prêt-a-porter orders only (not custom pieces) are accepted on merchandise within 21 days of receipt for items that have not been damaged, scratched, bent, chipped or otherwise altered.

PLEASE NOTE:
There are no returns, refunds or exchanges for custom made pieces. Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable. Our shipping and handling charges are intended to compensate our company for the cost of processing your order, handling and packing the products you purchase and delivering them to you. Shipping and handling fees will not be refunded if you choose to return the item. 

Once your package has been received by Akiba Design, your refund will be processed in the original form of payment within five business days. You will be notified via email to the address listed on your account when this transaction has taken place. Please note that your banking institution may require additional days to process and post this transaction to your account once they have received the information from Akiba Design.

Item availability

Although we make every effort to keep sufficient stock of items listed on our site, occasionally we do sell out of certain products. If we are out of stock on an item that youve ordered, we will notify you via e-mail. Any changes will be reflected in your order total as well as your shipping confirmation.

Shipping

Orders placed Monday-Friday before 1 PM PST will begin processing that day, excluding holidays, and will ship within 48 hours pending availability and credit verification. All orders placed after 1 PM PST will begin processing the next business day, and ship within 48 hours. Orders placed on Friday after 1 PM PST will begin processing on the following Monday. Akiba Design will contact you with a follow-up email if the merchandise you have selected is not currently in stock or if we need additional identification provided for credit verification. We use UPS and Federal Express for delivery and therefore are unable to deliver to APO/FPO addresses, as well as P.O. Boxes. We do not offer Saturday delivery. *DELIVERY TIME DOES NOT INCLUDE SATURDAYS SUNDAYS OR HOLIDAYS.

Ship date of custom pieces will depend on the piece and how long it takes to design and manufacture the piece as well as the date of the receipt of the 50% deposit.

Insurance is available and the cost is calculated based on the value of the item purchased.

Refused Shipments

If you decide to refuse any shipments from Akiba Design, you are responsible for the original shipping charges to you, any duties, taxes and/or charges that are incurred on the package (on both the original and return shipments), and the cost of returning the package to Akiba Design. This amount will be subtracted from your merchandise refund.
